Upon purchasing our home on the water – the pool/patio area was dull. Curtis & his professional team at Tropical Pools & Pavers transformed our pool/patio into a WOW. We now have a salt water pool & a new spa. The pool/spa has a beautiful ocean blue pebble tech with turtles inset on the steps & floor of the pool. The new pool tile & patio pavers are striking. We have really enjoyed the Jandy system – which allows us to control all the pool & spa amenities with the remote. "We wanted a pool. We got a work of art. That may sound like an exaggeration until you see our pool. For quite some time a pool seemed like a pipe dream. Four builders responded to our inquiries and all indications were the pool would remain a pipe dream. Then we met Ronnie. Less than 24 hours after giving him an extremely vague idea of what we wanted Ronnie had a complete design and price break down of every detail. The permit was issued late on a Thursday afternoon. First thing Friday morning, the Tropical Pools and Pavers crew started work. We were swimming three weeks later. We had our first official pool party this weekend and it was a huge hit. We enjoy our Tropical Pools and Pavers pool more than we ever could have imagined. Simply an amazing company! There really is little to say...in a good way! We spoke with 4 other pool companies and we were leaning toward not putting in a pool. We had the pleasure of meeting Ronnie and within a week signed a contract. As stated there is little to say about this company except they are simply amazing. They are timely, neat, and professional. It is rare to find a company like Tropical Pools and Pavers – a company that backs up their promises and delivers a beautiful pool on-schedule. Throughout every phase of the construction, Curtis and the team consistently communicated each step of the project and kept me apprised of the progress. The Tropical Pools and Pavers team started construction on March 18th and completed the entire renovation by April 26th. My wife and I are extremely happy with our new investment, but we believe our grandchildren’s joy eclipses ours when they are playing in the new pool. Curtis and his staff were great. Curtis went above and beyond installing our beautiful pool. We needed several trees moved. We needed a huge outside kitchen moved, which weighed over a thousand pounds. Curtis was willing and able to assist with these needs. Every step of the way, Curtis was there to answer any questions and guide us when needed. I will be recommending Tropical Pools and Pavers to everyone I know that is interested in building a pool. He never hesitated to build what I wanted (like so many others I had interviewed before). When you are investing tens of thousands of dollars in building a pool, you better be really careful about whom you choose to build it. We did a lot of research and had several pool builders give us ideas and quotes on our new pool. It was apparent from our first contact with Curtis that he was going to be our choice. He had a reasonable quote with renderings of the pool for us the very next day. I wanted a pool to swim laps to train for triathlons and my husband wanted a free form pool to float in and have great pool parties. Curtis was creative enough to come up with a beautiful and affordable solution. We’ve never had a pool, so we had many questions about the seemingly endless options for materials and equipment. Curtis always promptly called us back and patiently answered all of our questions. It would be impossible to find someone more honest, hard-working and dependable to build your pool. I’ve never seen a building project of any magnitude managed so perfectly. Each phase was done right after the other and everyone worked very hard to make it right. They transformed a patch of grass into a magical tropical lagoon. We absolutely love our new pool and we couldn’t be happier with how Curtis and the whole crew worked to bring our dreams to life. We selected Tropical Pools and Pavers based upon their price, work ethic and demeanor in dealing with us. We found Ronnie and Curtis to be open, honest and responsive to our needs and concerns. Having served 29 years as a School Superintendent I have dealt with contractors and builders throughout my career. Our pool was recently completed by Ronnie, it turned out better than what we expected which was a real positive given the big investment we were making in a pool. During the process we dealt with Ronnie who was always comfortable to deal with because of his open honest communication, delivery on promises and being available to answer questions 24/7. We were able to picture what were getting at the outset and that is exactly what we got (with a few addition surprises like a better expected water feature, small ledges added in the deep end of the pool that my 3 & 6 year olds spend most of the time swimming between, excellent colour co-ordination, help in maintaining pool post construction, etc.) all within 26 days from breaking ground with no issues and nothing negative to say. At the outset we were a little disappointed with the initial responsiveness of other pool companies who took days to respond to quote requests, negative reviews, longer than expected completion dates, large upfront deposits and having to deal with salesmen as opposed to the owner of the company. We are extremely happy with our pool and would not change anything – for me the most important decision was selecting the right pool builder. Good luck with your pool - I highly recommend Tropical Pools.

Talk about patient! My wife and I asked Ronnie to draw up a pool about 10 months ago. After multiple revisions, additions, deletions and other requests my wife and I finally got the pool built. Ronnie was EXCEPTIONALLY patient with us, was never frustrated and completed each request promptly. Even during some of the "down time" when we were thinking about the project, Ronnie was never pushy or rude. When we did build the pool the service was top-notch. The pool was completed faster than expected and the quality is excellent. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to build a pool. Small enough to have a personal touch and relationship but large enough to have all the resources at the right price!!

Our experience with Curtis Larson could not have been any better. Curtis was referred to us by a neighbor and we engaged him for a quote and to review some basic plans regarding our first pool project. My wife and I did not know what to expect, and Curtis made the process seemless from day 1. He quickly reviewed our initial plans and submitted his own recommendations with terrific graphics and precision. His timelines were dead on, and the project would have been totally completed in 30 days if it weren't for a 1 week delay on a set back issue outside of his control. His cost estimate was precise and there was not an extra penny of overrun not accounted for on his initial contract. We love our pool, and our 2 young girls have spent lots of time in it this summer. We feel like it was a terrific investment and upgrade to our home, and we highly recommend Curtis to anyone looking to build a new pool.
